Who is Donald Kochersberger?
A highly regarded trial attorney, Donald F. Kochersberger III is a member of Business Law Southwest, LLC. Based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he provides representation to business and individual clients throughout the state, as well as in Texas and other parts of the Southwest. Mr. Kochersberger is admitted to practice before all New Mexico and Texas state courts as well as before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico, and he is AV Preeminent* peer-review rated through Martindale-Hubbell and has an “Excellent” peer-review rating through Avvo.
Mr. Kochersberger handles a variety of complex civil litigation cases, including business torts, unfair business practices, shareholder and partner disputes, contract breaches, employee misconduct and noncompete agreements. He also has a background in criminal law, representing clients who have been charged by the state or federal government with the commission of felony or misdemeanor offenses, including fraud, embezzlement and other white collar crimes. Mr. Kochersberger’s experience has also encompassed real estate and business transactions and intellectual property matters.
As an undergraduate, Mr. Kochersberger attended the University at Buffalo, part of the University of New York system, and he received both a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology and a Bachelor of Science in biology in 1995. After working as a paramedic in Buffalo, he enrolled at the University of Toledo College of Law, and he was the symposium editor of the University of Toledo Law Review before being awarded his Juris Doctor in 1993. Mr. Kochersberger was a shareholder in another law firm before joining Business Law Southwest, LLC, in October 2005. His professional affiliations include the New Mexico Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
