The EEOC or Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is the organization charged with enforcing laws that deal with discrimination against employees or applicants.
When a charge is filed against a business or organization with the EEOC, notice of the filing is sent out to the business or organization. The EEOC will begin determining the validity of the complaint and may conduct their own investigation as well.
