So You Want to Start a Business?

Think about it, why do you want to start a business?

Chances are you found this article because you or someone you know is interested in starting a business. Congratulations! Generally speaking, people’s reasons to start a business vary. Some want the freedom to set their own schedule. Others want the creative control to pursue their passion. Others have an idea they think can take the market by storm. Whatever your reason, rest assured you are not alone. Per Forbes.com “approximately 543,000 new businesses get started each month”. Welcome to the club.

First, let’s make some introductions. Law 4 Small Business is a startup that specializes in helping other startups to navigate the legal climate. As such, we see lots and lots of small businesses. So many that we decided to compile our knowledge into this blog series on How to Start a Business. We’re basing our general format on the United States Small Business Administration (SBA for short) “10 Steps to Starting a Business”, albeit with our unique slant.

A startup dedicated to helping other startups. Go figure.

Now keep in mind, these articles will not have all the answers. Rather, we’d just like to help you get started by sharing our knowledge. Next time we will be discussing the importance of a Business Plan, so now is the time to start nailing down those nebulous business ideas. Ready, set, go!
