We’re proud to announce our second event, this coming April 19th, 2014, at our office from 9am to 12pm. Our first event was a success, in that we had we a good showing of local business leaders coming to talk to our attorneys, bankers and CPA’s. This is THE EVENT, Albuquerque, to seek free advice from a lawyer, CPA, banker or payroll specialist!

If you are a small business owner or leader, and you need a contract reviewed, have questions about a contract, trademarks, employment law, forming a business, selling a business, merging, bringing on a partner, or any other complex legal or financial issue, THIS IS YOUR EVENT!

Our intent remains the same: To give back to the local business community, and help this struggling demographic with valuable professional assistance. This is our second such event, and we’ve made some changes based on what we’ve learned in the first event.

First and foremost, it appears we didn’t properly communicate what this event is about: Free one-on-one legal advice with professionals, including attorneys, CPA’s and bankers. It appears we confused many people in our previous event, in that many people thought we were hosting a seminar where you come, sit down and listen. This is NOT THE CASE. We’re not giving a lecture. We’re sitting people down in front of experts, so they can spend some FREE time getting FREE advice. Nothing more.

Second, we learned that people wanted to come in the morning, not the afternoon. At our last event, our morning was very busy, but it tailed off in the afternoon. Therefore, this event will start an hourly early (9am), although it will end earlier than last time (12pm).

Third, some people had HR / payroll questions our attorneys and CPA didn’t feel comfortable answering. We will now have Rachel Gorenflo from Paychex on-hand to answer any HR, payroll or other related questions.

All in all, this next (our second) event should be quite a success, and we urge you to help get the word out — so small business owners and leaders have an opportunity to get some FREE, one-on-one advice to help them with their businesses.

Finally, we at L4SB would like to send our thanks to Robert Mangone from BBVA Compass, Fred Muehlmeyer, CPA, CTC, from Muehlmeyer, PC, and Rachel Gorenflo from Paychex who will be joining attorneys Larry Donahue and Steve Comeau from L4SB, and who have all agreed to take valuable time from their weekends to participate in this exciting event!
